The revived flagship IEEE conference bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers advancing computational methods for financial decision-making, risk analytics, and intelligent business systems.
The International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering (BIFE) has, since its inception in 2008, been one of Asia-Pacific's leading IEEE-sponsored venues for research at the intersection of data-driven business analytics and quantitative finance. After a multi-year hiatus, BIFE returns in 2024 under the technical sponsorship of the IEEE Computer Society.
BIFE 2024 is hosted in Hangzhou, a global hub for fintech innovation and home to leading institutions including Zhejiang University, Alibaba DAMO Academy, and Ant Group Research. The conference convenes academics, industry researchers, and policymakers around machine learning for finance, algorithmic trading, credit risk modeling, regulatory technology, and beyond.
All accepted papers are submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore and are indexed by EI Compendex, Scopus, and DBLP.
BIFE 2024 solicits original research across six technical tracks aligned with IEEE Computer Society scope.
Deep learning, reinforcement learning, neural networks for asset pricing, portfolio optimization, and predictive analytics.
Credit risk modeling, market risk, operational risk, systemic risk analysis, stress testing methodologies.
